Cold Cold Bones
Kathy Reichs
One of my favorite series. The author and heroine are both forensic anthropologists. The plots are always exciting and full of gruesome details, but delivered with compassion. I speed read these and am always happy when a new title is out. This one was about average but Reichs does even average well.

Where The Crawdads Sing By Delia Owens
Delia Owens
Delia Owens made the novel so much more about Kya losing her family and the story of survival. The theme of isolation continues though out the novel and shows how she has grown up differently not needing anyone but that isolation became her own worst enemy. Another important lesson is that without schooling a person who is observant can become a successful person and rise out of the poverty that she found herself in.
